About Alicia

Alicia is a 23 year old singer-songwriter and musician based in Sydney, Australia. She has been performing for over 5 years and writing, singing and playing for as long as she can remember. She does frequent gigs at various venues and events around Sydney – some notable gigs such as SXSW Sydney, VIVID Sydney at The Rocks Square, Art Aid's event 'One Sydney', Sunrise on Channel 7, various food festivals and playing at popular restaurants/clubs –performing a mix of covers and originals in the styles of alternative-indie, singer- songwriter, soul, rock and R&B. She works with many companies including Amber Mic Productions, B Squared Entertainment, First Light Co, and one of Sydney’s leading wedding bands Red Soda and more.

Influenced by the music and deep lyricism of indie, alternative, R&B and rap - Alicia fuses these styles to create her own unique sound. Her biggest musical influences include James Bay, Vance Joy, Kendrick Lamar and John Mayer.

She is only just starting her professional career as an artist and has already had great success with each of her tracks. She has already been played on over 20 radio stations worldwide, has had a track on rotation on FBi Radio and has also been featured in a Spotify editorial playlist along with many other playlists.

Her music is truthful and upfront, filled with anecdotes and stories from her experiences so far with growing up, changes from childhood to adulthood, relationships both romantic and platonic and about personal struggles and hardships she has faced.

Alicia was born with a rare health condition where she was operated on very early in life. TOF/OA affects 1 in every 3,500 people where they are born with their oesophagus attached to their windpipe rather than the stomach. She balances her health issues, work and music career while also helping her family care for two foster children.

Although life has its challenges, she continues to be resilient and tries her best to keep moving forward and she translates this through her songwriting and music. She has big dreams and plans for the future and is excited to keep pursuing her music dreams.

She has completed her degree and has a Bachelor of Music majoring in Contemporary Performance from The Australian Institute of Music. Through her degree she has made connections within the music industry and gained valuable experience that will benefit her own music and music career. She has also been signed to 2030 Records which is an independent label run by The Australian Institute of Music.
